Kia has released new images of its KND-5 concept car, which previews the forthcoming VG near-luxury sedan. Kia will use the upcoming Seoul International Motor Show in April to show the car to the public and press. A concept in name only, the car is expected to enter production in September. Korean sales will begin as soon the VG starts rolling down the assembly line, but North American availability won’t begin until spring 2010.

And, the confidence oozes from the fact that the Nissan Leaf (its first pure-electric car) will be a US only model. The design form belongs to the category of a front-drive C-segment Hatch which can seat four to five people. The company has great emphasis on the ability of this car which can behave an as everyday option rather than some specialty with its 100-mile range. Nissan believes that this range should be ample given the number of people who drive less than those 100 miles in s day (the figure stands at 80%).

The Fairlady Z was expected to cost much more in the US when the commuter was first unveiled but Nissan has managed to keep the pricing affordable. What is more is that the Nissan 370Z 40th Anniversary Edition will be a limited edition model in the US will only 1,000 units available for purchase. Peculiar 40th Anniversary signatures on the exterior include, badges, high-luster smoke wheel finish and red brake calipers. On the inside the car features 40th Anniversary debossed seatback and floormat embroidery, red stitching on the centre stack and a commemorative premium satin car cover making the edition exclusive.

Nissan North America has added the Rogue edition to its Krom Speciality vehicles line-up as a 2010 model that will go on sale as early as December 2009. The 2010 Nissan Rogue Krom Edition has been added to give the compact sport utility vehicle a more aggressive sport styling using exclusive 17-inch wheels and a sport-tuned exhaust.Available with an FWD transmission as well as AWD configurations. As far as the colour choices go, buyers will be able to choose between Venom Red, Wicked Black and Gotham Gray. When it comes to designing, the Rogue Krom is not short of sportiness courtesy of an unique grille embedded in the front fascia along with fog lights. The sporty themes runs on the back with a center-exit exhaust, a body coloured rear spoiler and a rear privacy glass. Completing the Krom theme is a Krom emblem and steering mounted audio controls on the inside. The pricing on the limited edition Rogue Krom has not been unveiled as yet.
2010 Nissan GT-R unveiled in Tokyo
The Nissan GTR (Skyline) Supercar has been staged at the Tokyo Motor Show with some admirable tweaks going into next year as the 2010 model which will be available as early as January. Although a new model altogether wasn’t expected, the updates for the entire GT-R lineage are timely. For starters, the updated GT-R comes with a new CARWINGS HDD-based navigation system and it gets the rear diffuser from the GT-R SpecV. The 2010 Nissan GT-R comes with stiffened rear suspension radius rod bushings, front shock absorbers and springs which together help in recalibrating the suspension. In Japan the updated GT-R will cost 8,610,000 yen while the range topping Spec V will be sold for 15,750,000 yen.

The super coupe is replacing the older 350Z, and is now powered by a 3.7-liter V6 engine that produces 332 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque.Starting at $29,930 for the base version (6-speed transmission), the 370Z Coupe hops at $31,230 if you’d like the 7-speed automatic brings the total to $31,230. Nissan has revealed the freshly re-styled 2010 Nissan Altima and also announced the 2010 Nissan Altima price list. The model is available in three versions: sedan, coupe, and hybrid. In a release, the company said that the Altima 3.5 SE trim level has been renamed to 3.5 SR.Powering the car is either a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder unit developing 175 horsepower or a 3.5-liter V6 configuration that generates 270 horsepower. The 2010 Nissan Altima is estimated to output 198 hp (148 kW). The hybrid model has a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder powerplant and standard electronically-controlled CVT with an advanced electric unit.

I don't think we've said this since at least yesterday, but when it comes to cars, Europe gets the best stuff. What you see above is only a concept, but it was dreamed up by Daniel Paulin, the gent who created Ford's C-Max -- which is a Europe-only offering -- as well as the original Focus concept and the FAB1 ship from the Thunderbirds film. Paulin left Ford, moved home to Sweden, and started the Paulin Motor Company. Its first product is this, a 2-seater called the VR Concept. Part Speed Racer, part sea creature, it's swoopy and planed at the same time. The lifting canopy is a pretty nifty evolution of Saab's Aero X jet fighter-style raising canopy. With that and the scissor doors, ingress and egress should be simple by even the most supercar-challenged body shapes. It would also make ejector seat installation a snap. Paulin is looking for partners to help put the car into production, and in the mean time will be producing three concepts per year, as well as an actual model for a motor show. As far as the VR goes, Mr. Paulin, we'll take it.
